  • Gooseneck Hitch Recommendation for a 1997 Ford F-350
  • For a gooseneck hitch for your 1997 Ford F-350 with overload springs you would want the B and W gooseneck hitch part # BWGNRK1110 as long as your bed does not attach to the truck frame near the centerline of the axle. This will fit your truck, but the ball height will designed for the height of a truck with a stock height truck bed. You would need to cut out a recessed portion of the bed to allow access to the hitch ball.

  • Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 1997 Ford F-250 Towing Fifth Wheel Trailer
  • I have great suspension enhancement solution that we can recommend, but the air spring kits for your truck would interfere with the install brackets of the Turnover hitch you have installed so a better solution would a Timbren like part # TFR250SDE. This will provide you with the suspension support you are looking for and would not interfere with the frame brackets of your fifth wheel hitch. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well. You'll notice there is no drilling...

  • Hard Wiring a 1999 Ford F-350 to Have a 6-Way and a 7-Way Trailer Connector
  • If you want to retain the 6-Way connector at the rear of your vehicle and install a 7-Way connector also, then I would use the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole Vehicle End Trailer Connector, item # 30717, and cut the 4-Way connector off of the adapter. I would then splice the wiring for the 7-way connector into the correct circuits in the 6-Way connector, using a circuit tester, item # PTW2993, if you need one, to verify the correct circuits. You can then splice the remaining circuit on the 7-Way...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Brakes that Lock up When Brakes are Touched
  • What's happening is that your stoplight circuit is shorting out to your brake output circuit. I bet if you were to put one of the truck's blinkers on the brakes would pulse with the blinker. I'd also be willing to bet the right blinker is the one that would cause it to pulse as well. Reason I say that is because the brake output circuit and the right turn/stop circuit of the trailer 7-way are right next to each other on the connectors. Check out the diagram I attached for more info. Check...

  • 5th Wheel Hitch Base Rail Recommendation for 1996 Ford F-250
  • For your 1996 Ford F-250 with 6-1/2 foot bed, I recommend the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP30035. These rails are industry standard rails that will work well with the Patriot hitch. I've attached the installation details for you. Due to your short bed truck, I recommend using the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Dual Jaw - 18,000 lbs # BWRVK3270 so you will have adequate turning clearance with your trailer. To use the...

  • Yes, roof rack tracks such as the Rhino-Rack RT-Style Roof Rack Tracks - Rivet Mount - 92-5/16" # RRRTS518 have removable endcaps. You can simply cut the tracks to size then install the endcaps. These tracks are made of aluminum and can be bent to conform to a curved roof. I recommend starting in the middle and working your way to the edges to ease installation.

  • Will Swagman Dispatch Bike Rack Fit Truck With Curt Class V Hitch C15300 Installed
  • Yes, the Swagman Dispatch part # S44FR is going to fit the Curt Hitch part # C15300 you have installed on your truck. The rack comes with it's own threaded hitch pin that you would use that secures the rack to the hitch opening to prevent movement. There would be no way to use your current hitch pin with this rack.

  • Brake Controller Wiring Or Plug-In Adapter Recommendations For 1997 Ford F-250 And 2015 Ram 1500
  • We will start with the 1997 F-250. If you have a factory 7-way on your truck, you can install the P2, part # 90885 with the plug-in adapter, part # 3035-P. I have attached a link to an installation video of a brake controller on an F-250 you can check out. If you have a 4-way connector on your truck, you will also need part # 37185. Additional wiring like part # 10-1-1 may be needed when installing the # 37185. If you do not have a trailer connector on your F-250 I recommend installing...

  • Recommended Ladder Rack For 1997 Ford F-350 With Camper Shell
  • I may have another option but unfortunately we do not have a full pipe rack or aluminum ladder rack that will fit inside of the camper shell on your 1997 Ford F-350 Crew Cab with an 8' Bed. The only option to add a ladder rack to your truck would be to install a ladder rack on top of your camper shell like the Thule TracRac CapRac Ladder Rack for Camper Shell/Truck Cap # TH29200XT. This will require drilling into the camper shell to mount the brackets and the carrying capacity of the ladder...

  • Recommended 95 Inch Trailer Axle with 78 Inch Spring Seat Locations
  • For your 95 inch axle we only have 79-1/4 inch or 80 inch spring seats. You can add spring seats to the ones already there, but they are designed for those specific locations by their design. You can choose one like # 7359765 and then weld on spring seats like # TRSS238 at 78 inches on center. Another option is to use an axle-less system like the Timbren # ASR3500S05. This allows you to add both the spindle and the suspension with a simple bolt on installation. If you aren't right...

  • Hide-a-Goose Gooseneck Hitch to 5th Wheel Adapter for 1997 Ford F-250
  • For your 1997 Ford F-250 Powerstroke with Reese's Hide-A-Goose, you have a few options. One really good option is the Hi-Rise Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter by Bulldog, Draw-Tite and Reese, # 9480. This 5th wheel adapter sits in the ball hole of the under-bed gooseneck hitch for sturdy mounting. It has offset legs that offer a wide stance for increased stability. This adapter offers you the benefits of a 5th wheel hitch in usability and compatibility. There is not a sliding...

  • Gooseneck Hitch Recommendation for a 1997 Ford F-250/350
  • There is no overload spring in the Curt Gooseneck hitch part # C61505-52 that you referenced. This gooseneck hitch will fit your 1997 Ford F-250/350 whether or not you have overload springs so it will work well for you. I believe that is where your confusion lies some gooseneck hitch only fit models with/without overload springs but this one fits both.

  • How to Determine Where to Drill to Install Torklift Hitch on 1997 Ford F-250
  • To install the Torklift hitch part # TLF1000 you will need to drill holes in the frame for all of the included bolts to fit through. Typically what people will do is position the hitch up where it needs to go and then either drill through the holes in the flange of the hitch bracket or mark where to drill and then drill after lowering the hitch as a template is not available.

  • 7-Way Recommendation for 1997 Ford F-250 for Bed of Truck
  • For a 7-way to install in the bed of your truck to make connecting your trailer lights easier you would want the part # 41157. Most 7-ways will be at the rear of the truck near the bumper which doesn't work will with fifth wheel hitches. This kit installs in line with the 7-way at the rear of your truck and gives you a second one to install in the bed.

  • Recommended Gooseneck Hideaway Ball Hitch for 1997 Ford F-350 Cab and Chassis with 34 Inch Frame
  • I reached out to my contact at B&W and have a solution for you. Although none of the manufacturers we carry have a fit for the 34 inch frame, B&W has a work-around. If you have a flatbed, you can use the # BWGNRK1500 that gets welded to the flatbed itself. If you do not have the flatbed, then they recommend you fabricate the support rails between the frame and use the center section # BWGNRC900.

  • Gooseneck Hitch Recommendation for 1997 Ford F-250
  • For your 1997 Ford F-250 we have great gooseneck hitch options that will fit and work well, but we do not have any options from Draw Tite. Instead I would recommend the B and W Turnoverball hitch part # BWGNRK1110 which is a confirmed fit and would be a really great option. The B&W towing products are considered by most people to be the best and most reliable options around so we recommend them highly. Also if you ever wanted to tow a fifth wheel hitch you can easily use a Companion Hitch...

  • Recommendation for Replacement 20.5X8-10 Tires and Wheels for Pop Up Camper
  • The 20.5 x 8 -10 tires on your pop up camper correspond to the metric size of 205/65-10. If you are needing a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern, I recommend looking at the Kenda 205/65-10 # AM3H480. This is a very nice bias ply trailer tire that is mounted to a 10 inch white wheel and has a maximum load of 1,650 pounds at 90 psi. If you instead have a 5 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern, I recommend the Kenda Loadstar # AM3H454. This tire is also mounted to a 10 inch wheel and features the same 1,650...

  • Could Demco Recon for Recessed Ball Hitches Be Adapted to Standard Version
  • Even if we could get you the different shank portion of the Demco Recon that attaches to the ball between the recessed ball version part # DM8550046 and the # DM8550045 which attaches to a standard ball it wouldn't work as the recessed ball version sits at a much lower height since flat beds are taller so you'd have to have each version.
